The consortium building and refurbishing 10 Aberdeen schools has approached alternative banks following the collapse of its Icelandic funders. BBC Scotland can reveal informal approaches have been made to a number of lenders. Landsbanki lent �45m to the consortium to build the schools for Aberdeen City Council. Work has continued on the construction sites. Consortium directors have said the early indications were positive. Aberdeen City Council signed a public private partnership agreement with a consortium in February.
