Egypt and Canary routes unveiled

Flyglobespan said research showed demand for the flights

Economy airline Flyglobespan is to open new routes from Aberdeen to Egypt and the Canary Islands.

The Sharm el Sheikh, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria flights are being offered for sale from Thursday.

Flygloespan chief executive officer Rick Green said: "Locals to Aberdeen airport want a greater choice of direct flights to winter sun destinations."

Aberdeen Airport managing director Kevin Brown said: "This is fantastic news for Aberdeen."
