David Calder's charges relate to the supply of date rape drug GHB |
An Aberdeen man has appeared in court in the US and denied supplying ingredients to make date rape drugs. David Calder, 36, appeared at the United States District Court in San Francisco.
He denied supplying ingredients to make the drug GHB as well as knowing the materials were intended to be used for making the drug.
Mr Calder was remanded in custody. He lost a lengthy battle against his extradition in February.
A trial date is expected to be set within the next few days.
Mr Calder was arrested in June 2004 by Scottish police. Judges ruled that he should be sent to the US for trial.
