Smoke ban pensioner due for trial
John Wraith
Mr Wraith is now due to go on trial in Aberdeen
A pensioner believed to be the first person in Scotland to appear in court for allegedly flouting the smoking ban is set to go on trial.

John Wraith, 66, is charged with smoking in the Burnett Arms Hotel in Kemnay, Aberdeenshire, on 3 January.

Mr Wraith is also alleged to have repeatedly thrown glass tumblers at a woman in the bar when asked to leave.

He denied the allegations at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, and the case was continued to trial in June.
