SPT said services had been disrupted on Thursday |
Services on Glasgow's Subway system have been disrupted after a small crack was discovered on a tunnel wall, BBC Scotland understands. The crack was found between Bridge Street and West Street. A spokesman for Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) said it hoped to resume a normal service about 1700 GMT on Thursday. Limited services were running for most of Thursday between Hillhead and St Enoch and between Ibrox and Partick. The SPT spokesman added: "Services have been disrupted for most of the day. "This was due unforeseen technical difficulties in a tunnel between West Street and Bridge Street Subway stations. "Specialist engineers are still carrying out investigations but we have been assured that a normal service will be resumed by the evening rush hour."
