Winter bug wards begin reopening
Hairmyres Hospital
Two wards at the hospital have reopened
Two wards at a Lanarkshire hospital, which were closed to new admissions after an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug, have reopened.

However, 14 wards at Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride are still not receiving new patients.

NHS Lanarkshire has been investigating more than 150 cases of sickness and diarrhoea among staff and patients.

A spokesman for the health board said the number of new cases had fallen over the weekend.

The symptoms suggested the Norovirus infection.
