More than 150 pipe bands from around the world are heading to Scotland for a celebration of national culture. Levengrove Park in Dumbarton will play host to the 100 Pipers Scottish Pipe Band Championships on Saturday.
Organisers said that they expected about 30,000 visitors to attend the event this year.

The annual event runs from 0800 to 1800BST.
'Family day'
A council spokesman said that the event promised to be "a fantastic day of colour, spectacle and fun".
He added: "Attracting over 130 pipe bands annually from the British Isles, Europe and further beyond, this spectacular event celebrates iconic Scottish culture and tradition.
"With fun fairs, stalls and many other attractions this really is a great family day out. What's more it's free."
West Dunbartonshire Council Provost Alistair Macdonald and Christian Porta, Chairman and Chief Executive of sponsor Chivas Brothers, said they were looking forward to the event.
