Police officers begin subway duty
St Enoch underground station
St Enoch is among 15 underground stations in the subway
Two police officers have taken up their posts on Glasgow's subway.

It is the first time the underground has had a full-time police service and the officers will patrol 15 stations and subway trains.

Community officers John McCrone and Jack Mitchell are operating on a two-month trial period which will be extended if it proves successful.

Subway operator Strathclyde Partnership for Transport said passenger safety was of utmost importance.
