Three men deny murdering Glasgow schoolboy Kriss Donald |
Two of the men accused of killing Kriss Donald were jumpy, agitated and cautious on the night the Glasgow schoolboy was murdered, a trial heard. The High Court in Edinburgh heard from shopkeeper Waseem Akhtar, who said he saw Mohammed Faisal Mushtaq and Zeeshan Shahid with a plastic petrol container.
He saw them carry it into a quiet alley in Pollokshields, along with a bag.
Mr Mushtaq, 27, Zeeshan Shahid, 28, and his brother Imran Shahid 29, deny racially aggravated murder.
Mr Akhtar told the court on Tuesday that he had seen Mr Mushtaq and Zeeshan Shahid get into a car driven by a drug-dealing acquaintance Hafeez Anwar.

Asked by advocate depute Mark Stewart QC whether he noticed anything about Mr Mushtaq's manner, Mr Akhtar said: "He was quite jumpy and nervous. Anxious."
He continued: "They were quite agitated. That is why I came to the conclusion something was wrong."
He said the two men directed the car to a quiet alley near Kenmure Street where they took the bag and petrol container, but he did not see what happened.
He said that afterwards Zeeshan Shahid, who he called by his nickname "Crazy", told him: "You will probably think we are being stupid but you will find out later on what happened."
The court also heard that in May 2004 Mr Akhtar told murder hunt detectives that Mr Mushtaq - known as "Becks" - told Mr Hafeez as he got into the Nissan car: "We need to do a mission."
Questioned by defence QC Donald Findlay, for Mr Mushtaq, Mr Akhtar denied concocting a story with his friends to protect the real guilty men.
Earlier the trial heard that police found the remains of burned clothes in an alley off Kenmure Street some weeks after the abduction and murder.
