The university is offering a range of courses over the summer

The subjects feature in the 140 classes and seminars on offer at Strathclyde University's Centre for Lifelong Learning this summer.

There are also courses in Indian head massage and the deciphering of dreams.

Centre director Lesley Hart said: "The programme gives everyone a unique chance to try something new."

Country dancing

The courses, which also include genealogy, counselling, handwriting analysis and Scottish country dancing, range from half day sessions to six week programmes.

Ms Hart said: "Our Something for a Scottish Summer programme has proved hugely popular since it began in 2003 and this year we've added a host of new and exciting classes."

She said the courses would enable people to study a subject they are particularly interested in and could lead to further study on one of the centre's other programmes.

The university has teamed up with Glasgow Museums to offer lectures and seminars on the newly renovated Kelvingrove Museum.
