 The union said many workers face infringement on pay |
Dozens of Polish workers are expected to attend a meeting in Edinburgh hosted by the Catholic Church and the Transport and General Workers Union. The union has raised concerns about migrant workers' conditions and exploitation in Scottish workplaces.
It is estimated that around 18,000 migrant workers have arrived in the capital since 2004.
A similar meeting held in Glasgow last October was attended by more than 200 Polish people and their families.
The T&G said they are increasingly concerned about the abuse of workers' rights.
They claimed that many migrant workers are facing immediate eviction as soon as their employment is terminated as well as infringements on pay and rights to sick pay and statutory holiday leave.
The union now plans to hold meetings about the issue across Scotland.
