Hundreds of Scottish Conservative Party members will attend their party's annual conference in Ayr. But who will be at the gathering and why? Two Scottish Tory foot soldiers, Miles Briggs and Stephanie Fraser, tell BBC Scotland's news website about the fun, nerves, humour and exhaustion which are part and parcel of conference events.
Miles Briggs Scottish Tory member
Conference is always a great opportunity to meet old friends in the Scottish party as well as making new ones. There's a real feeling within the party that we are on the move again in Scotland. It's clear that in the parliament the Scottish Conservatives have made a difference.

Part of the reason I go to conference is so that I can come back home to my constituency fired up with enthusiasm and utterly convinced that we can make a difference. There is often the chance to talk to members of the Shadow Cabinet and MSPs informally and I won't be wasting that opportunity.
