Winter vomiting affects hospitals

Relatives and friends are being asked not to visit
More than 120 patients and staff at four hospitals in north east Scotland have been affected by a winter vomiting virus, it has emerged.

More than 50 patients at Woodend Hospital, many elderly, have been hit by the bug. There are 16 staff also infected and nine wards have been hit.

NHS Grampian has asked patients, relatives and friends not to visit.

There are 50 patients with the virus at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, with Aboyne and Inverurie hospitals also affected.
