Balado is set for some spandex rock |
The Darkness, The Strokes and David Bowie are to headline this year's T in the Park festival. Organisers say the line-up is their strongest ever.
Also taking to the stage for the July event at Balado, Kinross, will be The Pixies and Scottish bands Franz Ferdinand and Snow Patrol.
Tickets are said to be selling three times faster than last year, with plans to increase the capacity by an extra 5,000 places each day.
Organisers expect up to 120,000 revellers to gather for the 11th annual music festival on 10 and 11 July.

Geoff Ellis, chief executive of DF Concerts, said it was taking this year's festival to another level. He said: "This is the strongest line-up we have ever had at T in the Park, it's a fantastic way to begin the next decade of the festival.
"We had a top bill last year but this year we are turning the dial up to 11.
"Tickets are selling at three times the rate they sold at last year and we are looking at an early sell-out."
Acts already confirmed include David Bowie, The Darkness, Muse, The Pixies and The Chemical Brothers.
Franz Ferdinand will be flying the Scottish flag |
And organisers added more top names to the bill including The Strokes, hip hop stars N*E*R*D and disco divas the Scissor Sisters. The best unsigned Scottish talent will also get a chance to make their big break on the festival's T Break Stage.
Mr Ellis said the event's promoters would be working with tourist body VisitScotland this year in order to sell the festival to an international audience.
He also said they were hoping to increase this year's capacity to 120,000 across the weekend - the highest ever.
