The crash took place near Dijon in France
One of three teenagers detained for treatment in France following a coach crash which killed one girl has arrived home in Scotland.

Largs Academy pupil Iona McLachlan, 14, flew into Glasgow Airport on Tuesday night.

She was accompanied by members of her family, who went to France to be with her following last Thursday's accident.

Katherine Fish, 15, was killed when the coach carrying 43 children and six teachers from Largs Academy overturned on the A6 near Dijon.

Six children and teachers from the Ayrshire school who were involved in the crash flew home on Saturday night.

The two schoolgirls and four teachers, two men and two women, were met at Glasgow Airport by a medical team that escorted them to hospital for further treatment.

The group included English teacher David McLuskey, who lost an arm in the crash.

Two further pupils are still receiving hospital treatment in France.

Elaine Jenkins, 13, and 15-year-old Mark Nicol will have their conditions assessed on Wednesday.

Mark Nicol is the most seriously injured and needs reconstructive surgery on his crushed left arm.

A spokesman for North Ayrshire Council said he was still in intensive care and was not likely to be back home before next week.

The spokesman also said that Elaine Jenkins was unlikely to be home before the end of this week.

Coach driver Mark Chisholm is being formally investigated by the French authorities on charges of manslaughter, involuntary injury and careless driving.

The 31-year-old has said he is "deeply sorry" for the accident.
