Leading SNP and Plaid Cymru politicians faced questions from live studio audiences in special election editions of Question Time broadcast in Scotland and Wales. The two programmes followed Thursday night's Question Time featuring in turn Charles Kennedy, Michael Howard and Tony Blair.
On BBC One in Scotland, Scottish National Party leader Alex Salmond took questions from the floor in a debate chaired by Iain McWhirter.

As usual on Question Time, members of each studio audience submitted questions and the editorial team then selected which questions were to be used in the programme.
