Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg has said that "discussions between political parties have reached a critical and final phase".

On Monday the Lib Dems formally opened talks with Labour about a deal, after days of talks with the Conservatives.

Mr Clegg said he was keen to "resolve the matters one way or another".
