Shadow Defence Secretary Liam Fox has admitted there are policy areas of "profound difference" between the Tories and Lib Dems, as talks continue over power-sharing deal.

But in an interview with BBC Breakfast, Mr Fox insisted there were also areas of "common ground" between the parties in their desire for a stable government.
