Liberal Democrats call for homecare assistance

The health spokesman for the Liberal Democrats, Norman Lamb, has said any care plans for older people should not overlook those who remain at home as well as those in care homes.

The Conservatives are boycotting a conference being attended by Labour and the Lib Dems on future options for older people's care in England.

Norman Lamb said there were many aspects to the issue, including care in a person's own home.
