Foreign Secretary David Miliband and Conservative chairman Eric Pickles have clashed on the BBC's Politics Show over comments Mr Miliband made about the Tories having links with far-right politics in Europe.
At the Labour party conference Mr Miliband criticised the Tories' new allies in the European Conservatives and Reformists Group.
He said they included a Latvian party which celebrates the "Latvian Waffen SS with a march past of SS veterans".
Mr Pickles said he felt he was owed an apology and defended his party's alliance.
