The Liberal Democrats have accused the Conservatives of planning to increase public spending by at least £50bn to fund their flagship policies.
As the row over spending gets increasingly bitter, Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg says he will consider what he calls "bold and savage cuts" to reduce government debt.
The Tories say the figures are based on false assumptions.
