Shahid Malik defends expenses

Former justice minister Shahid Malik has defended his expenses claims, telling the BBC's Carrie Gracie he stayed within the core of the rules.

The MP said the house in his Dewsbury constituency was where he spent most of his time, so it was legitimate to claim for the second home in London.
