Conservative leader David Cameron has announced a radical overhaul of what his MPs can claim in expenses, saying the public has been "let down".
In the future, Tory MPs will only be allowed to claim for basic costs on second homes such as rent and utility bills and not, as at the moment, for furniture.
Mr Cameron also 'named and shamed' a number of senior and backbench Tories who have had their expenses questioned and will now repay some of the money.
