Darling: Economy will recover

The Chancellor, Alistair Darling, has defended his plan to increase tax for those earning over £150,000.

Speaking to the BBC the day after the Budget, he said extraordinary times required extraordinary measures.

But Mr Darling insisted that the UK economy would recover.
