Osborne: Cut public spending

The Tory party has attacked as "fantasy" economic growth predictions contained in Alistair Darling's Budget.

The chancellor said the UK economy would return to growth by the end of 2009, expanding by 1.25% next year and 3.5% by 2011.

Shadow Chancellor George Osborne said there was a need to move faster on constraining spending.
