Prime Minister Gordon Brown is facing increasing pressure to distance Labour from e-mails which discussed smearing senior Tories.
Conservative MP Nadine Dorries was one of the people named in the e-mails, and told the BBC she had been warned about a dirty tricks campaign "months ago".
