PM strikes upbeat note on economy

Gordon Brown struck an upbeat note on the economy in his final monthly media conference of 2008.

Replying to a question from the BBC's Nick Robinson, he said that sectors of the British economy were well placed to prosper in 'the global upturn to come'.
