UK bid for carbon-capture plant

Britain will put in a bid for carbon capture technology as part of its move towards a lower carbon economy, Gordon Brown has said.

He also told delegates at an international energy conference that energy diversification would help ease pressure on the volatile oil market and make demand more predictable.
