Blair backs Brown on economy

Tony Blair has praised Prime Minister Gordon Brown for his leadership during the economic downturn.

The former PM said the financial crisis had been a 'shocking event for all political leaders'.

Mr Blair also spoke positively of Peter Mandelson's return to the Cabinet as business secretary.
