Brown says rate cuts are 'right'

The prime minister has told the BBC that the UK had taken a ''world lead'' in cutting interest rates to try and stabilise the economy.

Speaking to Political Editor Nick Robinson, Gordon Brown also said the health service and education would not lose out through the measures taken.
