More than 300 jobs are being created at the firm
Aerospace company Shorts Bombardier has said it is to create 330 new jobs at its Belfast plant.

The Canadian-owned firm said it would be stepping up production on parts it makes for the CRJ 700 and 900 jets after a recent upturn in the market.

The jobs will be a mixture of temporary and permanent posts.

"We welcome the upturn in the market, particularly given the difficult time we have experienced over the past few years," a spokesperson said.

Bombardier laid-off about 500 workers in Belfast earlier this year.
