A number of youths are believed to have taken tablets and an oxygen bottle from an ambulance in Dunmurry on the outskirts of Belfast.

The ambulance was answering a call in the Ardcaoin Park area at about 0050 BST on Saturday when the youths got on board.

They took two bags - one containing oxygen and the other a pain-relieving gas.

The youths threw them across the road. The crew were able to retrieve the equipment, which was not damaged.

No-one was injured during the incident.
