A spokeswoman for Belleek Pottery said the decision was taken after a downturn in sales as a result of the 11 September attacks. The company said they hoped the short week will only be in operation for about three months. SDLP assembly member Tommy Gallagher said the news had created anxiety and difficulty for the people affected.
