Aid for domestic violence victims

A new service to help an increasing number of victims of domestic violence is being launched in Swindon.

There were almost 800 incidents in the town from April to June this year - 100 more than in the same period last year.

The new outreach service will offer one-to-one support for people suffering abuse at the hands of their partners.

It will be managed by the Splitz Support service, with backing from the Swindon Community Safety Partnership and victims can refer themselves.
