Man charged over fatal stabbing

Carl James died three days before his birthday
A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder following a stabbing in Swindon.

Police were called to a house in Priory Road, in the Park South area, on Sunday evening where they found Carl James in a critical condition.

The 21-year-old was taken to Great Western Hospital with serious stab wounds but died later.

Michael Bruce Harris appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday and was remanded in custody to appear at Bristol Crown Court next Tuesday.
