Man arrested after fatal stabbing

Carl James died three days before his birthday
A man has been arrested by armed police following a fatal stabbing in Swindon.

Officers were called to a house in Priory Road, in the Park South area, on Sunday evening where they found Carl James in a critical condition.

The 21-year-old was taken to Great Western Hospital with serious stab wounds, but died later from his injuries.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. Police are appealing for witnesses.
