Hayley suspect brought back to UK
Suspect Hugo Quintas (under blanket) is brought back into the UK
Hugo Quintas (under blanket) was brought back to the UK by police
Detectives investigating the killing of pregnant woman Hayley Richards have flown back into Britain with a man who was arrested in Spain.

Hugo Quintas, 23, was arrested in the Basque region of Spain last Tuesday.

Ms Richards, who was 23 and the former girlfriend of Portuguese Mr Quintas, was found dead with her throat cut on 11 June in her Trowbridge home.

The extradition follows "detailed discussions" between Wiltshire Police and several agencies.

Det Supt Mike Veale, leading the inquiry, flew to Spain earlier this week, accompanied by a team from the Metropolitan Police Extradition Unit - the only officers trained and permitted to undertake airborne prisoner escort.

He arrived back at Heathrow Airport and was led into a police van covered in a blanket.

From there he will be taken for questioning at Melksham Police Station in Wiltshire.
