Suspect 'won't fight extradition'
Hayley Richards
Ms Richards was found dead on 11 June
The chief suspect in the killing of three-months pregnant Hayley Richards could be returned to the UK next week.

Hugo Quintas, a Portuguese national, was arrested by Spanish police in the Basque region of Spain on Tuesday.

Wiltshire Police said he has not challenged the extradition process and are to fly out to Spain next week.

Ms Richards, 23, who was Mr Quintas' ex-girlfriend, was found dead on 11 June in her home in Trowbridge, with her throat cut.

Detective Superintendent Mike Veale said: "I have been made aware that Hugo Quintas has not challenged the extradition process.

"And I am pleased that this will assist his early return to the UK.

"I am able to say that it is my intention in the early part of next week to fly to Spain assisted by officers from the Metropolitan force to bring him back to this country."

Mr Quintas has been named by police as their prime suspect

Two other men have been questioned by police in connection with Miss Richards' death.

Joaquim Sergio Da Cunha, 29, has been remanded in custody until 24 June, charged with perverting the course of justice.

Mr Da Cunha is accused of cleaning Ms Richards' flat, cleaning clothes and making false statements to police to obstruct their inquiries.

A 38-year-old Portuguese man has been released on police bail until the first week of July, pending further inquiries.
