Police said 648 Boxes of Thrillers and 192 boxes of Blast Zone fireworks were taken, worth a total of 8,943.

The fireworks are unique in that they are boxed sets prepared for sale only in ASDA stores.

"Anyone being offered such items for sale is asked to contact police," said a spokesman or to call Crimestoppers.
