Warning over distraction robbery
Wiltshire Police have issued a warning over distraction burglaries after two incidents in the past week.

A teenage girl kept a 90-year-old woman in Bourne Avenue, Salisbury, talking while a boy climbed in through a window and stole more than 100.

In Shrewton two men called at the home of an elderly, partially-sighted woman claiming to be water board officials.

They demanded 50 for wasted water but fled when the woman said she was going to call her daughter.

"Police continue to urge caution over any unexpected visitor to the house," said a spokesman for Wiltshire Police.
