Police tell ravers 'stay away'

The police are warning ravers to stay away
Police in Wiltshire are warning ravers against an illegal gathering which has been publicised for the weekend.

They say hundreds of revellers are reportedly planning to hold a huge open-air party in the county.

But the would-be partygoers are being warned they will be firmly dealt with.

In May, 800 people descended on Wiltshire's Savernake Forest for an illegal rave, staying for several days.

Residents complained they were kept awake by the loud music and that the unwelcome visitors had damaged the ancient woodland.

A number of arrests were made and equipment removed from the site.
