Passenger numbers fall at airport
Birmingham International Airport
Passenger numbers have fallen for the second month running
Passenger numbers at Birmingham International Airport have fallen for the fourth month running.

Just under 950,000 people used the airport in September making it one of the busiest months of 2006.

However, the figures were 7% down on the same month last year at Birmingham, the 5th largest airport in the UK.

A fall in numbers in August was blamed on the UK heatwave while a fall in June was blamed on a cargo plane crash disrupting flights and the World Cup.
