Police targeting nuisance bikers
A crackdown on noisy and dangerous motorcyclists in part of Birmingham has resulted in four arrests and nearly a dozen vehicles being seized.

The operation was prompted by complaints from pedestrians and residents living on the Fox Hollies and Gospel estates in Hall Green.

Those stopped were asked to identify bikes which may be stolen, may have been used in crime or not roadworthy.

Eleven cars and bikes were seized during the six-week initiative.

One person was held on suspicion of theft and driving with excess alcohol while disqualified.

Another was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon.

Police deployed off-road motor bikes with specially-trained riders along with uniform and plain clothes officers.

West Midlands Police say they will continue to address the issue with residents and say the information they gave is greatly appreciated.
