Rover's 75,000 car goes on sale
Rover's MG XPower SV
The car drew admiring glances on a test drive in Birmingham
Car maker MG Rover's most expensive ever model goes on sale on Saturday.

The MG XPower SV is made in Italy - and it costs a cool 75,000.

The final assembly work is done at Rover's plant at Longbridge in Birmingham.

The firm has refused to say how many people have ordered their latest model.

But it did say that a Midlands-based man who has connections with a rock band is one of the first proud owners of the XPower SV.

Rover is describing the model as "the race car built for the road".
