Mr Sabir was 'specifically targeted' |
Community leaders have been meeting with traders in the Lozells area of Birmingham in an attempt to allay their fears over gun crime levels in the city. The move follows the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old man in the area earlier this week.
Mohamed Sabir was shot from behind in Lozells Road, Handsworth, at 2240 BST on Monday.
Mr Sabir, who was married with two children, was seen talking to three youths outside Aziz Pizza and Kebab shop when he was shot with what is believed to be a machine gun.

His murder is one of five committed within a half-mile radius since last September.
On Wednesday the leader of Birmingham City Council, Sir Albert Bore, and local MP Khalid Mahmood met traders from the Lozells, Villa Road and Birchfield Traders Association.

Among the issues being discussed are support packages which are available for the area and improving community safety. An update will also be given on moves to introduce CCTV cameras.
On Tuesday, West Midlands Police said Mr Sabir's murder was not random and other people were not in danger.
Superintendent Andrew Nicholson told BBC Midlands Today: "He was specifically targeted. Why he was targeted at this stage it is too early to tell."
Police have refused to comment on allegations made by people living in the area that Mr Sabir was a drug dealer.
His attacker is described as mixed race, 6ft tall, aged in his late 20s and wearing a red jacket.
