Man dies as 16 shots fired
Mohammed Sabir
Mr Sabir was 'specifically targeted'
A man has been shot dead in Birmingham by an attacker who fired up to 16 bullets from an automatic weapon.

Mohammed Sabir, 22, was shot from behind in Lozells Road, in Handsworth, at 2240 BST on Monday.

The murder is one of five committed within a half-mile radius since last September.

Mr Sabir, who was married with two children, was seen talking to three youths outside Aziz Pizza and Kebab shop, in Lozells Road, when he was shot.

The attacker ran off in the direction of Wilton Street.

On Tuesday, it emerged that the shooting could have been caught on cameras recently installed in the area.

The CCTV operator, who did not want to identified, said: "One of the cameras is on the chip shop, which is right where the shooting took place.

"We're going to pull the tape and see if we can get some footage."

"He was specifically targeted. Why he was targeted at this stage it is too early to tell."
