A �6m centre to promote offshore renewable power plants, like windfarms on the Suffolk coast, is set to go ahead now plans have been approved. The complex at Ness Point, near Lowestoft, was approved by Suffolk County Council on Tuesday.
The centre, which will be built next to a windfarm, aims to provide flexible office accommodation for companies across the offshore renewables sector.
The county council is now looking for contractors to design the centre.
The Centre for Offshore Renewable Energy is being set up by the county council with help from East of England Development Agency (EEDA).
