Motorists have been warned to expect further delays on Saturday because of thousands of people travelling to the V Festival. On Friday heavy traffic on roads leading to Weston Park, on the border of Shropshire and Staffordshire, led to a slip road on the M6 being shut.
The two-day festival is expected to attract 90,000 people to the park.
Police said on Saturday morning, 30 people had been arrested there and 97 cautioned for drugs offences and theft.
