Slip road shut with festival jams
Part of a busy motorway has been shut to help deal with traffic congestion on the way to a major music festival.

Heavy traffic on roads leading to Weston Park, on the border of Shropshire and Staffordshire, forced the Highways Agency to take the action.

The slip road at junction 12 northbound was closed on Friday afternoon and motorists were urged to get on to the M54 and use the hard shoulder.

Motorists are being told to expect long waits of up to several hours.

The two-day festival is expected to attract up to 100,000 people to the Weston Park site.
