Scaled down options for hospital
North Staffordshire Hospital
The trust was the first of many in England to announce job cuts
Three new options are being presented to health managers as part of a plan to push forward proposals for a new hospital in north Staffordshire.

Financial problems have made the old plans unaffordable and now smaller designs are being submitted.

One would see a hospital with 130 fewer beds, a smaller car park and without a new building for a treatment centre.

The trust will choose an option on Monday but government and private sector partners also have to approve.

Board members will also decide whether to approve the hospital's financial recovery plan.
